Parenting - a challenge
Successful parenting in today’s world is an extremely challenging task. Rapid technological development, influence of Computer, TV, internet, mobile phones etc which practically shrunk the world, exposing the young generation to situations, opportunities and challenges which the parents never got exposed to and sadly do not even understand very often.
Bringing up children to become successful in life-work-relationship has become the sole responsibility of parents – unlike in the past. Moreover, the highly competitive, globalized, and knowledge+competency driven world demands unique kind of mindsets, philosophies of life, and perspectives. to build a successful career is a complex task in the ever changing situations to which they are exposed to. Obviously none of these can be instilled in children by the contemporary school systems and processes. Yet, a great majority of parents tend to adopt a stance of total dependence on chance factors and entirely entrust the development of their children to educational institutions and several unknown sources and agents.
Many of the parents who are successful in life and/or work and/or relationships fail to correctly identify the factors which triggered their personal growth and the perspectives that sustained success. Therefore, the objective of this space named ‘Parents World’ is to bring out those hidden and subtle aspects, provide explanations and interpretations to a congenial community of parents, share relevant knowledge, insights, and experiences, etc.
